We really enjoyed this recipe. I used 2 cups half and half, added a few sliced mushrooms, and added about 1/2 cup of shredded parmesan. I used diced tomatoes but chopped them up before using so they weren't so chunky. Also, I did drain the grease after coooking the sausages. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly. Next time, I may try using 1/4 of the italian sausage and using some shrimp instead. The only criticism that I have is that there was too much sausage so I will cut down on it next time. Even so - excellent recipe and a change from the usual red sauce.

Very good! I changed it a bunch, but I loved the light, creamy tomato sauce that was the main purpose of the recipe. I cooked the sausages whole and sliced them to add later. I added sauteed chunks of chicken breast, as well as quartered whole mushrooms. I used half-n-half instead of cream. It was very tasty and easy to make! Yum!

I made this for dinner the other night & I was not disappointed! I did add a can of drained mushrooms, just because I love them. Instead of heavy cream, I used part evaporated milk & part fat free half & half. Delicious!

I really wanted to like this recipe because it's so easy to make. The sauce was wonderful, but I didn't like the Italian sausage in it. Maybe I'll try it again with chicken or turkey. The sauce was so creamy and delicious with the tomatoes and pasta.

super duper easy to make and perfect for those weeknights where you're too tired to cook anything fancy. I used elbow macaroni instead of penne, half and half instead of heavy cream, and paprika instead of red pepper flakes. Also, to further make things easier, I used garlic powder instead of minced garlic and dried parsley instead. Fresh is always best, but when you've had a rough day or you've run out of stuff in the pantry--- it tasted fantastic with these substitutes as well. However, please note that I seasoned to taste (garlic powder, salt, and paprika. I didn't follow exact measurements for those.

Simple and delicious! Made recipe pretty much just a stated.I used bulk mild italian sausage, which has no casing, so easy to work with. As another reviewer suggested, I drained out most of the oil after cooking sausage. I didn't have fresh parsley, so I used 1 1/2 Tbsp dry. Added pasta into the pan and tossed with about 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese. This is a keeper! Mmm,Mmm good!

Excellent recipe. I made it exactly as written except I used Rotini noodles since that was all I had. I got rave reviews and will be adding this to my recipe box!

No doubt I will make this over and over again. Marvelous! I used ground sweet sausage and left out the pepper flakes because I didn't have any. Can't wait to add them next time. They'll give it an ever better taste (if that's even possible). I also added 4 garlic cloves. Will probably add another 1 or 2 next time. My husband was oinking out on this stuff!! Oh, also used 1 cup whipping cream and 1/2 cup half & half. Used italian diced tomatoes and added some spinach like another person did.

This really is delicious. It really is restaurant quality. I substituted ziti for bow ties, a 28 oz can of diced tomatoes, and light cream instead of heavy cream. I also lightened the red pepper flakes to 1/4 tsp because of the kids. At the end when I added the sauce to the pasta, I also mixed in about 1/2 cup of shredded parmesan cheese. So good and fast to make!

I wanted to lik this, but just thought it was ok. Hubby and son did too, didn't ask for more. I used half and half instead of cream, so maybe that makes a difference. It also needed more flavor, so after I tasted it, I added more seasonings.

This is just the easiest recipe ever and it's VERY good. I make this every time I take a dinner to other people and I make it all the time for my own family. Even the kids love it and ask for me to make it. My husband, who normally gets sniffy if I make pasta for dinner, will eat this and finish the leftovers the next day. I always add extra meat in the recipe because we're "more stuff less pasta" people; but as written the recipe is still fabulous. Out of about twenty times I have made this for other families, they have come back and asked for the recipe about 18 of them!

Easy and awesome! Make sure to use ground spicy italian sausage for a shortcut/simplifier. Definitely restaurant quality.

This is a great tasting recipe. I was skeptical at first, but it is so easy and very, very good. The only thing I did differently was used light cream, instead of heavy. I also added a little parm cheese at the end as well. Foolproof! Thanks...this will be a fav. in my house!
